{"id":35,"date":"2019-09-16T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-16T12:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.echobox.com\/resources\/?p=35"},"modified":"2021-11-03T11:34:50","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T11:34:50","slug":"the-uks-brexit-news-consumption-trends-revealed-by-region-age-gender-and-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.echobox.com\/resources\/blog\/the-uks-brexit-news-consumption-trends-revealed-by-region-age-gender-and-time\/","title":{"rendered":"The UK\u2019s Brexit news consumption trends revealed \u2014 by region, age, gender and time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Echobox today publishes what we believe to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/showcase.echobox.com\/brexit\/?utm_campaign=brexit%20news%20consumption&amp;utm_source=resources&amp;utm_medium=blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">largest-ever analysis of Brexit news<\/a> consumption ever completed in the UK.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Over the last four months, we\u2019ve analysed the viewing trends for almost 13,000 news articles about Brexit published by 35 of the UK\u2019s leading news publishers including The Times, The Sun and The Guardian.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"pm rm s t u jq ai ka\" src=\"https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/max\/1898\/1*yxUqPURNYnqjxXYLxuWfgg.png\" sizes=\"700px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/max\/345\/1*yxUqPURNYnqjxXYLxuWfgg.png 276w, https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/max\/690\/1*yxUqPURNYnqjxXYLxuWfgg.png 552w, https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/max\/800\/1*yxUqPURNYnqjxXYLxuWfgg.png 640w, https:\/\/miro.medium.com\/max\/875\/1*yxUqPURNYnqjxXYLxuWfgg.png 700w\" alt=\"Image for post\" width=\"1518\" height=\"759\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>The analysis is unique as, unlike most polls and surveys, it does not extrapolate from small samples.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>With a combined 95.6m pageviews, Brexit makes up 1.63% of all consumed news, twice as much as articles on football and tennis combined.
